The Voluntary Blood Donation event held at the Nefrontida Nephrology Center on the occasion of World Kidney Day was a great success.

We had the special honor of hosting the Honorable Minister of Health, Mr. Michalis Damianou, as well as the Karaiskakio Foundation, for which samples were collected for registration in the Bone Marrow Donor Registry. A total of 30 individuals registered as potential bone marrow donors, while 50 blood donors responded to our call and actively supported this important initiative.

At the same time, participants were given the opportunity to register with the National Registry of Potential Organ and Body Donors, with 47 individuals completing the relevant form, while 16 volunteers signed up to participate in research projects through the Biobank of the University of Cyprus.
