A delegation from Nefrontida Nephrology Center, consisting of Medical Director Dr. Kyriakos Ioannou, Yiannis Athanasiou, Senior Nursing Officer, and Maria Alexandrou, Nursing Officer, visited Nipro’s European and African headquarters in Mechelen, Belgium, from 6–8 May 2026.
At iMEP (Institute of Medical Practice) of Nipro, our team received intensive training on the Japanese-manufactured, high-technology Surdial™ X hemodialysis machines. These state-of-the-art dialysis systems are designed to deliver highly personalized treatments and feature advanced automation technologies. They are widely recognized for their precision, patient safety, and user-friendly interfaces.
The visit proved to be an extremely valuable and productive experience, providing our team not only with hands-on exposure to these leading hemodialysis machines but also with the opportunity to collaborate with Nipro’s highly skilled and experienced professionals.
In the near future, this cutting-edge hemodialysis technology from Nipro, together with the expertise gained during the training, will be introduced in Cyprus for the benefit of patients at the Nefrontida Nephrology Center in Nicosia, as well as patients at the upcoming Nefrontida Nephrology Center in Larnaca.
