The Nephrology Center Nefrontida was pleased to participate in the 10th Panhellenic Apheresis Conference (National Haemapheresis Association Conference), held in Athens on 27–29 May 2025, through scientific presentations delivered by its staff.
Our Medical Director, Dr. Kyriakos Ioannou, presented a comprehensive analysis on therapeutic apheresis, highlighting its importance from both a clinical and a health-economic perspective.
Ioanna Lakatamitou, Senior Supervisor Nursing Officer, presented the essential and enduring role of nurses in Nephrology and Apheresis, offering an overview that encompassed the past, present, and future prospects of the profession. In collaboration with two distinguished colleagues from Greece — Ms. Malamati, Nurse at the G.N.T.H. “G. Papanikolaou”, and Ms. Bofilaki, Head Nurse of the Polyxenia Renal Chronic Hemodialysis Unit —presented the technique of ultrasound-guided vascular access., την κα Μαλαμάτη, νοσηλεύτρια στο Γ.Ν.Θ. «Γ. Participation in the conference provided an important opportunity for knowledge exchange, promotion of best practices, and strengthening of our center’s scientific footprint, always with the aim of continuously enhancing the quality of care offered to our patients.
