The 15th Two-Day Meeting of the Hellenic Apheresis Society took place in Athens on 27–28 September 2024.
The conference brought together leading professionals from Greece and abroad, focusing on the advancements in therapeutic apheresis methods and their applications, both in classical and in emerging therapeutic indications.
Our Centre’s Medical Director and Nephrologist Dr. Kyriakos Ioannou, had the honor of participating as an invited speaker, presenting on the topic: “Experience from the Implementation of Therapeutic Apheresis in a Center in Cyprus.”
The Nefrontida Nephrology Center began offering therapeutic plasmapheresis services under the General Healthcare System (GeSY) in September 2022. In just two years of operation, our Center has managed to serve a significant number of patients, mainly referred by neurologists, as well as hematologists and cardiologists, performing over 440 plasmapheresis sessions to date.
Dr. Ioannou’s presentation of our Center’s experience was observed with great interest and appreciation from all participants, bringing us immense pride and satisfaction. This recognition is a testament to the dedication, professionalism, and high-quality work carried out at the Nefrontida Nephrology Center, and to the commitment of our staff, who represent our driving force.
At Nefrontida, we remain committed to providing high-quality services and to the continuous improvement of patient care.
