The first Cardiology Conference organized by the Cardiology Clinic of Apollonion Private Hospital, titled “Cardiology Pearls 2024,” was held in Limassol on 9–10 November 2024.
The conference hosted leading professionals from Greece and abroad, covering a wide range of topics related to modern cardiology — including advanced echocardiographic techniques, coronary artery disease management, and innovative approaches to valvular heart disease.
Dr. Kyriakos Ioannou, Nephrologist and Medical Director of our Center, had the honor of participating as an invited speaker, presenting on the topic: “Aortic Stenosis in Hemodialysis Patients.” His presentation highlighted the unique challenges of this condition in patients with kidney disease — particularly those on dialysis — and emphasized the importance of close collaboration between nephrologists and cardiologists to achieve the best possible outcomes for these patients.
