At the Nephrology Center Nefrontida, patient care is not limited only to the provision of high-quality healthcare services, but also extends to safeguarding patients’ rights. Within this framework, the center has appointed Ms. Antigoni Andreou as Patients’ Rights Officer and Mr. Donis Leontiou as Deputy Patients’ Rights Officer, who now serve as key points of reference for our patients. Their role is to inform and support patients regarding their rights, as well as to receive and manage any complaints or suggestions, with the aim of ensuring their prompt and fair resolution, always with respect, impartiality, and a patient-centered approach.
This initiative is further strengthened through our collaboration with the institution of the Patient Advocate. In this context, the center had the pleasure of hosting the Patient Advocate, Mr. Marios Charalambides, and Health Services Officer Ms. Niki Perdiou, with whom a very useful discussion was held with the staff regarding the role of the institution and the procedures for handling complaints. For Nefrontida, protecting patients’ rights is a daily commitment and another step towards healthcare that truly places people at the heart.
